Pit-Fired Ceramics
From the earth and sea, whimsically
Using the most ancient of techniques, ceramics are buried beneath a
bonfire after being surrounded with seaweed, salts, metal and organic
materials.  The smoke, fire, and shifting wood, weed, metal and salts
cannot be precisely controlled. But the finest of these pieces, when
cleaned and polished, are among Plankton's most beautiful, pleasing in a
startling, essential sort of way.
